Installing your own battery |
This should only be attempted by those with reasonable technical skills.
A number of the iPods we receive for repair have been damaged through careless
battery installation. There are delicate cables inside the iPod and it
is of course susceptible to static discharge. While installation is by
no means technically difficult, care is needed.
Your iPod is precious, please review all the installation instructions and only proceed if you are confident you can complete the procedure. |
